- This is the GMAX GM48SPC snowmobile helmet. This is a new helmet by GMAX and has a redesigned shield system. See the bottom of this description for available optional shields. Note that the helmet comes fitted with a clear dual lens snow shield and flip sun visor.

- This is a full face snowmobile helmet
- DOT approved
- Has a lightweight thermo-plastic alloy shell
- New SPC top front vents, interior and styro designed for controlled air flow
- GMAX® “D.E.V.S.” adjustable “Dual Exhaust Venting System” Top, side and rear venting reduces fogging and sweating by allowing hot air to escape from the mouth area and top of head
- Adjustable chin vent directs air upward across the inside of the shield to help reduce fogging
- Large eyeport for improved range of vision
- Removable, washable interior and adjustable cheek pads allow for more comfortable sizing
- Snap-in snowmobile chin curtain for added warmth
- Snap-in maximum seal breath guard reduces fogging
- Soft padded chin strap
- Painted shell with high-tech water decal's and high quality clear coat finish
- Replacement parts available (at additional cost) include: Chin Curtain our part number MS128657, Breath Guard our part number MS128659
- Comes fitted with clear dual lens shield and flip sun visor.
- Optional Shields available at additional cost include:
- Standard replacement dual lens snow shield our part number MS128877. This is designed to accept the optional flip sun visor.
- Tinted dual lens snow shield our part number MS128664. This will NOT accept the optional flip sun visor.
- Electric shield our part number MS128839. This will accept the optional flip sun visor.
- Electric tinted shield our part number MS128840. This will NOT accept the optional flip sun visor.
- Tinted flip lens alone (in case you lose the first one you buy) our part number MS128885. Note that you need the dual lens clear snow shield with our part number MS128877 to use this flip visor.

| Welcome to our GMAX helmet sizing page. This page indicates how you measure for helmet fit, and how you determine the size that fits you. You should note that the GMAX sizing chart is based on averages, it works for most people. |
| First, you measure for helmet fit: |
| Wrap a measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows. Be sure to pull the tape comfortably snug. Take several measurements, to make sure you have the largest one. This is your circumference. |
